The Village of Lansing is sticking with familiar leadership while adding a few new faces to planning and zoning boards, according to the Tompkins Weekly.
Voters re-elected trustees Kathleen Yen and Susan Ainslie in an uncontested election, while the board unanimously reappointed Carolyn Greenwald as deputy mayor. Officials also filled planning and zoning seats and approved salaries for elected and appointed positions.
The board also debated how to handle tax breaks for future solar and wind projects. Instead of opting out of a state exemption program, village leaders plan to route negotiations through the Tompkins County IDA while keeping the option open for future local regulations.
