A 19-year-old Sodus man was arrested after deputies investigated a domestic incident in which he allegedly prevented a victim from leaving a residence or calling 911 for help, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
Morgan J. Gasper, of South Street in Sodus, was charged following the incident, which deputies said happened early May 21.
Investigators alleged Gasper physically harassed the victim during the dispute, prevented her from leaving the home, and stopped her from contacting emergency services. He was charged with second-degree harassment, fourth-degree criminal mischief, and second-degree unlawful imprisonment.
Gasper was transported to the Wayne County Jail to await centralized arraignment and is scheduled to appear in Sodus Town Court at a later date to answer the charges.
