United Memorial Medical Center’s wound care program in Batavia has again landed among the top-performing centers in the country, earning multiple national recognitions for patient outcomes and quality of care.
Rochester Regional Health announced this week that UMMC’s Wound Care Center received the President’s Circle Award from Healogics for the third consecutive year, while also earning its 10th straight Center of Distinction Award and fourth consecutive Clinical Excellence Award.
Among more than 600 eligible wound care centers nationwide, UMMC was one of just 35 to receive the President’s Circle distinction and the only center in New York to earn the recognition this year.
The awards recognize clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, operational performance and long-term consistency in wound healing care.
“These recognitions are a direct reflection of the extraordinary dedication and expertise of our wound care team,” said Jill Graziano, president and chief operating officer of UMMC. “To be recognized nationally year after year and to stand alone in New York State with this distinction speaks to the exceptional care our patients receive every day.”
The Batavia-based center specializes in treating chronic and non-healing wounds through advanced therapies and individualized treatment plans. Rochester Regional Health said the program’s success is driven by a multidisciplinary approach focused on evidence-based care and collaboration among clinical staff.
Patient Kyle Jacque described the care team as a major factor in his recovery experience, saying the center provided “a second chance” beyond medical treatment alone.
The recognition comes as healthcare systems across New York continue facing staffing pressures and rising demand for specialized outpatient services, particularly for aging populations and patients with chronic health conditions tied to diabetes, circulation issues and mobility challenges.
United Memorial Medical Center is part of Rochester Regional Health, which operates hospitals and healthcare facilities across Western New York, the Finger Lakes and surrounding regions.
