Steuben man faces felony charges after repeatedly contacting victim illegally

A Savona man faces felony and misdemeanor charges after Steuben County deputies say he repeatedly contacted a protected person despite a court-issued order of protection.

The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office said deputies arrested Thomas B. Stark, 27, of Savona Estates on May 18 following an investigation into alleged violations of an order of protection.

Authorities allege Stark repeatedly contacted the protected individual both while incarcerated at the Steuben County Jail and after his release. Investigators said the order of protection had been duly served prior to the alleged violations.

Stark was charged with aggravated family offense, a class E felony, and second-degree criminal contempt. He was arraigned in Centralized Arraignment Court and released.
