The Ira Volunteer Fire Department will host a large garage sale fundraiser across two weekends beginning later this month in Cayuga County.
The department announced the event will run May 29-31 and again June 5-7 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily at the fire department headquarters on State Route 176 in Cato.
Organizers said the sale will feature a wide range of items including baby supplies, household goods, tables, chairs, dressers, sewing machines, electronics, tools, chainsaws, and even a boat motor.
Fire department officials said proceeds from the fundraiser will support the department and its operations.
The department encouraged residents to stop by, browse the selection, and help support local volunteer firefighters.
