Multiple law enforcement agencies responded to the Super 8 by Wyndham Bath Hammondsport Area Wednesday evening, drawing a large police presence to the area as authorities investigated an incident behind the motel.
Officers from the New York State Police, Bath Village Police Department, and Steuben County Sheriff’s Office were seen at the scene around 7 p.m.
Investigators appeared focused on an area behind the motel building and were observed using a drone during the response.
Authorities have not yet released details about the nature of the incident.
Bath Village Police told reporters additional information is expected to be released later as the investigation continues.
