Woman charged after cocaine found during booking at Ontario County Jail

A Rochester woman arrested on a bench warrant now faces additional felony and drug charges after corrections officers allegedly found cocaine in her possession during the booking process at the Ontario County Jail.

Riccole Marie Nunez, 34, was arrested Tuesday night by Ontario County sheriff’s deputies after authorities said she failed to appear in Victor Town Court on a previous charge. Deputies took her into custody around 9:30 p.m. at the St. John Fisher Park and Ride before transporting her to the county jail.

According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, corrections officers discovered cocaine while searching Nunez at the jail. She was then charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and first-degree promoting prison contraband.

Authorities said Nunez remains held at the Ontario County Jail awaiting centralized arraignment on all charges.
