A Romulus man was arrested Tuesday night after deputies say he crashed off State Route 414, struck a mailbox and sign, then left the scene before being located by law enforcement.
Seneca County Sheriff Tim Thompson said deputies arrested 66-year-old Michael Wilson around 8:23 p.m. in the Town of Romulus following a property damage accident investigation.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, Wilson allegedly moved from his lane unsafely and drove off the roadway, striking both a mailbox and an advertisement sign before fleeing the area.
Deputies later located Wilson and took him into custody on charges of driving while intoxicated, moving from lane unsafely, and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.
Wilson was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Romulus Town Court on July 24.
