Wayne-Finger Lakes high school sports: May 14 scoreboard

With postseason seeding inching closer, Thursday brought another wave of statement performances across the Wayne-Finger Lakes.

Wayne and Midlakes both erupted offensively in boys lacrosse behind big nights from Shane Coleman, Nate Lathrop and James Sprague, while Palmyra-Macedon continued its strong season with a balanced attack against Geneva. In girls lacrosse, Penn Yan edged another tough opponent as Bailey Cooper fueled the offense with a massive nine-point effort.

Meanwhile, Dundee/Bradford stayed dominant in softball with aggressive baserunning and shutdown pitching, and Gananda got a complete-game shutout from Henry Shutts on the baseball diamond.
