Waterloo woman charged after driving with BAC nearly five times legal limit

A Waterloo woman was charged with driving while intoxicated after police say she drove home from a domestic incident with a blood alcohol content nearly five times the legal limit.

The Waterloo Police Department said Korrin D. Reynolds, 40, of Waterloo, was arrested May 9 at approximately 7:50 p.m. and charged with driving while intoxicated and aggravated driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .18% or greater.

According to police, the arrest stemmed from a roadside domestic incident in which Reynolds allegedly drove herself home afterward. Officers later located her at her residence in what police described as a highly intoxicated state.

Police said Reynolds admitted she had just driven home and had not consumed alcohol since earlier in the day. Following an investigation, authorities determined her blood alcohol content was 0.39%.

Reynolds was issued an appearance ticket and released to a sober third party. She is scheduled to appear in Town of Fayette Court at a later date.
