A Penn Yan man was arrested last week after Auburn police investigators tracked him down on an indictment tied to an alleged domestic violence incident from earlier this spring.
The Auburn Police Department said members of its GIVE Unit traveled to Penn Yan on May 5 to arrest 35-year-old Tillman J. Freeland on a Cayuga County Court indictment connected to an incident that happened on Seymour Street in Auburn in April.
Freeland was charged with third-degree robbery, a Class D felony; first-degree criminal contempt, a Class E felony; two counts of aggravated family offense, Class E felonies; three counts of third-degree criminal contempt, Class A misdemeanors; and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, Class A misdemeanors.
Police said Freeland was transported back to the Auburn Police Department for processing before being taken to the Cayuga County Jail pending arraignment.
