A Palmyra man was taken into custody early Saturday after deputies said he drove two children while under the influence of alcohol during a domestic-related incident in the village.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office said deputies arrested 37-year-old Dean J. Wright Jr. on May 10 on two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and one count of driving while intoxicated. Investigators allege Wright drove two children to their mother’s residence while impaired.
Deputies transported Wright to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office for processing before taking him to the Wayne County Jail, where he was being held pending CAP arraignment.
The incident remains under investigation by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office Road Patrol Division.
