A Bloomfield man already facing charges tied to alleged sexually explicit conversations with a juvenile is now accused of possessing child sexual abuse material following an ongoing investigation by Canandaigua police.
The Canandaigua Police Department announced Tuesday that Devin M. Clutter, 40, of Bloomfield, was arrested and charged with eight counts of possessing a sexual performance by a child.
Police said the arrest stems from an ongoing investigation that began after Clutter was arrested March 25 on charges of disseminating indecent material to a minor. Investigators previously alleged Clutter engaged in sexually charged conversations with a 13-year-old juvenile across multiple social media platforms.
According to police, investigators later executed multiple search warrants involving Clutter’s electronic devices and allegedly discovered child pornography during the investigation.
Clutter was processed and transported to the Ontario County Jail for arraignment. The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the investigation, according to police.
