A spring musical production at Watkins Glen High School is drawing regional recognition, with students and staff earning nominations across several major categories at the Greater Binghamton High School Theatre Awards.
The school’s performance of “Six: Teen Edition” was nominated in all four top production categories, including overall musical production, technical design, choreography, and ensemble performance.
In addition to the group honors, multiple students received individual nominations. Natalie VanSkiver and Lilian Artusa were recognized as leading performers, while Grace Weed earned a nomination for supporting performance. Anna Franzese and Elizabeth Fitzwater were also honored for their spirited ensemble contributions.
Director and choreographer Kelsey Gill said the nominations reflect months of effort behind the scenes and on stage.
“Anyone who has ever been part of a show knows how much heart, time, and hard work goes into bringing it to life,” Gill said. “From long rehearsals to problem solving behind the scenes, it takes a truly dedicated team.”
The Greater Binghamton High School Theatre Awards recognize excellence in high school productions across the region, highlighting achievements in performance, design, and technical execution.
School officials said the recognition underscores the collaborative work of the entire cast and crew, as well as the strength of local arts programs.
