A proposed contract amendment and updates on several economic development efforts will headline a Thursday meeting of the Seneca County Local Development Corporation.
The board is scheduled to meet at 5 p.m. May 7 at the Lyons National Bank Community Room in Waterloo, with new business including a review of an amended administrative and compliance contract with MRB Group.
The proposed agreement outlines up to $25,000 in services tied to compliance with state public authority requirements, including reporting through the Public Authorities Reporting Information System and advisory support on governance and procedures.
Board members are also expected to hear updates from a recent Economic Development, Tourism and Housing Committee meeting, along with continued discussions tied to broader planning efforts across the county.
Under old business, the board will revisit planning for an upcoming stakeholder engagement visit from RKG Associates, which is conducting background research ahead of a future session with local officials.
Additional updates are expected on several ongoing initiatives, including development planning in Ovid, where a revitalization strategy and comprehensive plan are being explored to strengthen future grant applications.
Board members will also receive updates related to the former Willard campus, where a structure known as Maple Home was recently lost in a storm after previously being deemed unsalvageable, as well as ongoing issues at Finger Lakes Regional Airport, including unresolved runway lighting concerns.
The meeting agenda also includes routine items such as approval of prior minutes and a financial report, along with the potential for an executive session before adjournment.
