A new week of Wayne-Finger Lakes high school spring sports got underway Monday with offense erupting and dominant pitching setting the tone.
In girls lacrosse, Geneva was powered by a nine-assist performance from Allison Marquart, while Meghan Forbes scored six goals and Velia DeMaria added six points, and Kinsley Bree and Bailey Rossignol each netted five goals for Waterloo/Mynderse/Romulus. Canandaigua also rolled behind five goals apiece from Leah Sheridan and Keira Gioseffi, while Palmyra-Macedon controlled play on the boys side.
On the softball field, Dundee/Bradford swept a doubleheader behind big days from Korrin Yeoman and Morgan Sutryk, while Lyons got a dominant showing from Rylee Richardson and North Rose-Wolcott saw a four-hit game from Peytin Westurn. In baseball, Lathan Milliman struck out 15 in a complete-game gem for North Rose-Wolcott, and Michael Miller went the distance to lead Mynderse.

Korrin Yeoman powered the BraveScots with two hits, including a double, and four RBI. Adalyn Tham was strong in the circle, striking out 10 while allowing just three hits and one run over five innings. Yeoman and Reese Simpson each recorded two hits as the BraveScots added six stolen bases.

Dundee/Bradford erupted for a big inning and finished with 15 hits and nine stolen bases. Sutryk also earned the win in the circle, striking out eight over five innings without allowing an earned run. Reese Simpson, Maddie Knapp, and Adalyn Tham each contributed multi-hit efforts.
