A four-story hotel with extended-stay suites could soon reshape a stretch of Grant Avenue, according to The Citizen. Indus Hospitality Group has filed plans to build an 89-room TownePlace Suites by Marriott in Auburn.
The project heads to the planning board Tuesday, but it needs a height variance since the proposed 55-foot building exceeds zoning limits. The hotel would replace two homes and vacant land.
Construction could start in spring 2027 and wrap by spring 2028. Officials say Auburn lacks extended-stay options, and the project could boost tourism, tax revenue, and longer visitor stays.
