New 4-way stop takes effect at busy Victor intersection

A traffic change aimed at improving safety is now in place at a key intersection in Ontario County.

Officials announced that, effective April 27, the intersection of County Road 9, Lane Road, and Lynaugh Road in the Town of Victor has been converted into a permanent four-way stop.

The update requires all drivers approaching the intersection to come to a full stop before proceeding, replacing the previous traffic pattern at the location.

Local officials say the change is intended to enhance safety at the intersection, which has seen enough traffic or concerns to warrant additional control measures.

Drivers traveling through the area are being urged to use caution and allow extra time as motorists adjust to the new configuration.

More information is available through the Town of Victor.
