The Hobart College golf team placed third at the Liberty League Championships on Sunday at Turning Stone Resort and Casino’s Shenendoah Golf Course, finishing +21 over three days as the Statesmen recorded their best team result since 2005. Hobart’s strong showing featured three golfers finishing inside the top 15 in a competitive seven-team field.
First-year Aman Dhiman led the way with a tie for fourth place, finishing even-par for the tournament. He opened with an even round, followed with a three-under performance on Saturday, and closed with a three-over round to cap an impressive debut at the conference championships. Sophomore Robby Kurzer and first-year Troy Gregg each finished tied for 12th at +5, both shooting even in the final round to secure top-15 finishes.
Junior Gavin Poyer added a tie for 21st at +12, while sophomore Andrew Murray rounded out the lineup in 33rd place at +21. As a team, Hobart’s consistency across the lineup helped secure its highest finish at the event in more than two decades.
The University of Rochester captured the team title at seven-under, edging New York University, which finished at one-under. Rochester’s Alvin Su and NYU’s Oscar Uribe shared medalist honors at eight-under for the tournament.
Hobart concludes its 2025-26 season with the third-place finish at Turning Stone Resort and Casino, marking a significant step forward for the program.
