Green earns repeat honor as Empire 8 Tomorrow’s Leader

A steady climb on the scorecard and a growing presence off it have earned Keuka College senior Tyler Green recognition once again among the Empire 8’s top student-athletes.

Green was named to the Empire 8 Men’s Golf Tomorrow’s Leader team for the second straight year, an honor that highlights leadership, sportsmanship and performance across competition, academics and community involvement.

The Sackets Harbor native appeared in five tournaments this season for the Wolves, playing nine rounds and continuing to show measurable improvement. His season scoring average dropped to 87.8, a notable step forward from his career average of 90.2.

Green’s top round came at Keuka’s home invitational in the fall, where he posted an 81 and finished tied for 11th place. He carried that momentum into the Empire 8 Championship, where he led the Wolves and finished 31st overall. His four-round total of 344 marked the lowest score ever recorded by a Keuka golfer at the conference championship.

The Tomorrow’s Leader team—formerly known as the Sportsman of the Year team—includes eight student-athletes from across the conference. According to the Empire 8, the honor is reserved for those who demonstrate leadership not only in competition, but also in the classroom and the community, while competing with integrity.

For Green, the repeat recognition underscores a senior season defined by progress, consistency and a growing role as a leader within the program.
