A new support group aimed at helping mothers connect and share experiences will meet next month at UR Medicine Thompson Health in Canandaigua.
“The Milk Bar,” a program designed to provide a supportive environment for moms, will gather from 10 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, May 6, in the Birthing Center classroom on the second floor of Thompson Hospital on Parrish Street.
Organizers describe the group as a space where mothers can come together to talk openly about their experiences and build connections with others navigating similar stages of parenthood.
The sessions are led by lactation consultant Courtney Stuhlman, but participation is open to all mothers, regardless of whether they are breastfeeding. Babies are welcome to attend, along with children up to age 2.
The Milk Bar meets on the first Wednesday of each month. Organizers said those interested in attending or learning more can contact Thompson Health for additional details.
