Fire crews from multiple departments were called to a reported house fire in Seneca County, with smoke visible as first responders arrived on scene. The incident was first reported by our partners at the Cayuga/Seneca Fire Wire.
The scene was on Middle Black Brook Road, near West Brook Road, prompting a response from Clyde, Seneca Falls, and Fayette fire departments, along with North Seneca Ambulance.
According to dispatch activity, units began arriving within minutes of the initial call, with command established on scene by Clyde personnel. Responders reported visible smoke coming from the structure shortly after arrival.
Additional apparatus from Clyde and Seneca Falls were dispatched to assist, with full crews responding to support fire suppression efforts.
The fire was later reported under control, with crews transitioning to ventilation and overhaul operations to ensure the blaze was fully extinguished and to prevent rekindling.
