Auburn man charged with felony contempt after violating court order

A 911 hang-up call in Auburn led to the arrest of a man accused of violating an order of protection and attempting to flee police.

Officers were dispatched April 21 to a residence on Orchard Street after receiving the hang-up call and made contact with a victim at the scene.

During the investigation, officers learned there was a full stay-away order of protection in place against Anthony Isgar, who was found inside the residence.

Police said Isgar attempted to flee and was later located hiding on a nearby porch before being taken into custody after initially resisting arrest.

Isgar was charged with first-degree criminal contempt, a felony, and resisting arrest, a misdemeanor. He was transported to the Cayuga County Jail for arraignment.
