A small Rochester brewery is calling it quits just a year after launching, despite early success, according to the Democrat and Chronicle.
Mountain Roads Brewing plans to close its cans-to-go operation in May after its owner said scaling up would require major changes that don’t fit his family’s priorities. The business, launched in 2025, sold its beer but faced limits without expanding into a full taproom model.
Owner Jacob Parlett says the brewery may still produce small batches through Swiftwater Brewing Co., keeping the brand alive in a limited way after the main operation shuts down.
