Keuka College partners with Children’s Home to expand education, workforce opportunities

Keuka College is expanding its ties to a longtime community partner, announcing a new agreement aimed at boosting workforce development and educational access in upstate New York.

The college has formalized a partnership with the Children’s Home, a Binghamton-based child welfare agency, building on years of collaboration between the two organizations.

Under the agreement, employees of the Children’s Home will be eligible for discounted tuition when enrolling in Keuka College’s online and hybrid degree programs geared toward working adults. Those offerings include social work degrees and a leadership program with a healthcare track.

College officials say the partnership is designed to support career advancement for human services professionals while strengthening the pipeline between education and employment.

The relationship between the two organizations is not new. The Children’s Home has served as a regular placement site for Keuka’s Field Period experiential learning program, providing internships for students and hiring graduates into full-time roles.

In addition to tuition benefits, the partnership will create more opportunities for students to connect with the organization through internships and job postings, while also giving the Children’s Home access to certain college resources.

Leaders from both organizations said the agreement reflects a shared mission of supporting communities and developing professionals in fields tied to social services and care.

The Children’s Home, founded in 1912, provides a range of services for children and families, including behavioral health support, education, and community-based programs.
