Cornell wrestling is bringing one of its most decorated athletes back to the program, adding Yianni Diakomihalis to its coaching staff.
The four-time NCAA champion returns to Ithaca after a historic collegiate career that cemented his place among the program’s all-time greats.
Head coach Mike Grey said Diakomihalis brings both elite-level experience and a deep connection to the program, positioning him to make an immediate impact with current student-athletes.
Diakomihalis compiled a 21-1 record in his final collegiate season and finished his career as a four-time All-American and four-time EIWA champion, earning national recognition throughout his tenure.
His return adds another high-profile presence to a program that has consistently competed at the national level.
