A new partnership between Ithaca College and Tompkins Cortland Community College is designed to simplify the path from an associate degree to a bachelor’s degree.
The dual admission program allows students to be accepted to both institutions at once, starting at TC3 before transferring to Ithaca College to complete their four-year degree.
The initiative is aimed at reducing barriers to higher education by providing a structured, supported pathway for students throughout their academic journey.
Participants will receive coordinated advising from both institutions to ensure coursework aligns with degree requirements, minimizing credit loss during the transfer process.
Initial program pathways include fields such as biology, health sciences and psychology, with additional options expected to expand over time.
College leaders say the partnership strengthens regional collaboration and creates new opportunities for students to pursue higher education more efficiently and affordably.
