Romulus man charged after resisting arrest after investigation

A Romulus man was arrested Thursday afternoon after deputies say he resisted officers attempting to take him into custody on an active warrant.

Seneca County Sheriff Tim Thompson reported that Daniel Marshall, 33, of Hayts Corners Road, was taken into custody around 4:27 p.m. April 16 in the Town of Romulus.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, deputies were attempting to execute an active arrest warrant out of Tompkins County when Marshall allegedly obstructed the effort. Authorities said he physically resisted by pushing officers and fleeing on foot while ignoring verbal commands.

Marshall was charged with obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest. He was issued an appearance ticket and later turned over to the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office.
