Two sisters who have spent years pushing each other to succeed have earned the top academic honors for the Waterloo High School Class of 2026.
Anna Olsowske was named valedictorian and Rachel Olsowske salutatorian, capping off years of shared academic and extracurricular achievement at Waterloo Central School District .
Anna will graduate with a GPA of 100.09, while Rachel earned a 97.48, placing them at the top of their class. The sisters credited their close relationship and mutual support as a driving force behind their success.
Both students were active across school life, including membership in the National Honor Society, participation on the girls varsity soccer team, and involvement in student council and varsity club. Anna also served as the student representative on the district’s Board of Education.
After graduation, Anna plans to attend Daemen University to enter a five-year physician assistant program, while Rachel will enroll at Nazareth University in a five-year occupational therapy program.
The sisters said their achievements reflect years of dedication, along with support from teachers and the broader Waterloo community.
