The Buffalo Bills exercised the fifth-year option on tight end Dalton Kincaid, keeping him under contract through the 2027 season. General manager Brandon Beane confirmed the move Monday at league meetings in Phoenix. The option is valued at $8.1 million and is fully guaranteed.
The decision underscores Buffalo’s belief in Kincaid’s value within the offense when he is healthy. The team produced more efficiently with him on the field in 2025, averaging higher scoring output and posting a stronger record in his appearances compared to games he missed.
Injuries have limited Kincaid’s availability over the past two seasons, and his workload was often managed. He shared snaps at tight end, which kept his usage in check even when active, as the Bills aimed to keep him available deeper into the season.
Kincaid still delivered a breakout campaign in 2025, earning his first Pro Bowl selection. He finished with 39 receptions for 571 yards and five touchdowns across 12 games, showcasing increased big-play ability.
The 26-year-old has totaled 156 catches for 1,692 yards and nine touchdowns in 41 career games, including 24 starts. He set a franchise record for receptions by a tight end as a rookie and has added 23 receptions for 286 yards and three touchdowns in postseason play.
