United Way of Greater Rochester and the Finger Lakes and Wegmans have launched their annual Scan Campaign to raise funds for local programs.
The campaign is underway at 21 Wegmans stores in the Rochester area and will continue through early May.
Shoppers can donate at checkout by contributing a set amount or rounding up their total purchase.
Officials said the campaign supports households across the region, where 1 in 3 struggle to meet basic needs.
In 2025, Wegmans raised $3.9 million for United Way, including $435,000 through the scan campaign.
Donations help fund services provided by more than 1,200 nonprofits serving about 400,000 people in a six-county area.
