A manual recount confirmed the results of a tight Penn Yan mayoral race, making Patricia Christensen the village’s next mayor, according to the Finger Lakes Times. Christensen defeated incumbent Dan Condella by just three votes, 179-176, with no changes after the recount.

She will begin her four-year term April 1. Christensen currently serves as Yates County treasurer and has held multiple local government roles, including longtime town clerk in Milo.
