Fourth-year medical students marked a major milestone Friday as they learned where they will begin their medical residencies during Match Day at Rochester Regional Health.
Students from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine opened their match envelopes simultaneously, revealing their next training locations after completing clinical rotations across RRH facilities.
The event included emotional reactions as students discovered their placements, with celebrations ranging from tears to embraces.
This year’s group is the fourth cohort of LECOM students to complete clinical rotations at Rochester Regional Health since the partnership began in 2021.
The collaboration aims to expand medical education opportunities while helping address the need for physicians in the region and nationwide.
