A small-town movie theater is getting a second life, with new owners promising a community revival, according to the Finger Lakes Times. The Palace Theater in Wolcott has been sold and will reopen under a team led by performer Jeremiah Schalberg.
The group plans to restore the theater as a local gathering place while keeping its affordable, family-friendly feel. The previous owner closed it in 2024 after nearly 31 years.
Renovated in 2010, the theater already features upgraded seating and equipment. New owners say the goal is simple: bring movies — and the community — back together.
