A Wayne County man was arrested following a property damage crash in the Town of Arcadia.
Thad A. Shepherd, 45, of Arcadia Zurich Norris Road, was taken into custody after deputies investigated the incident on Welcher Road, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said Shepherd was operating a vehicle when it left the roadway, entered a ditch, and returned to the road.
During the investigation, deputies determined he was intoxicated.
Shepherd was transported to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, where he refused to submit to a chemical test.
He was charged with driving while intoxicated, moving from lane unsafely, and unregistered operation.
Shepherd was transported to the Wayne County Jail to await centralized arraignment.
