Grief and determination filled a return trip to the Finger Lakes as a victim’s family prepares for upcoming murder trials, according to WHAM. They traveled from Minnesota to meet prosecutors and push for justice more than a year after the killing of Sam Nordquist.
Prosecutors say seven defendants face charges after Nordquist endured months of abuse before being found dead in 2025. Multiple trials are expected, with one possibly starting in September.
The family plans to attend every hearing and sentencing. They’re also gathering with supporters at a memorial site, hoping to honor his life and keep attention on the case.
