The Rochester Folk Art Guild will mark its 70th anniversary with a public exhibition at the Central Library of Rochester and Monroe County.
The exhibition, titled “Celebrating Seven Decades of Craft and Community,” will run from March 16 through May 23 at the Anthony Mascioli Gallery.
Organizers said the exhibit will highlight the guild’s history and artistic work since its founding in 1957.
The display will feature historic and contemporary works including handcrafted furniture, woodturning, metalwork, textiles and carved objects.
Archival materials, photographs and film will also be included to document the guild’s development and contributions to craft and community life.
The Rochester Folk Art Guild is based in Middlesex in the Finger Lakes region.
The exhibition is free and open to the public during regular library hours.
