A man convicted in a 1990 double murder in Wayne County walked free Thursday after decades in prison, according to RochesterFirst.
Chad Campbell, now 50, was released on parole after serving time for the stabbing deaths of 15-year-old Cindy Lewis and 1-year-old Curtis Rizzo in Palmyra. Campbell was 14 at the time of the killings and later received a sentence of 18 years to life.
State corrections officials confirmed his release from Woodbourne Correctional Facility. The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office said he was transferred to Erie County following parole.
