A developer is trying again to turn a former Lansing factory site into housing after two earlier proposals failed, according to The Ithaca Voice.
Bomax Holdings presented a new concept to the Village of Lansing Planning Board for a 110-unit market-rate apartment project near the former TransAct Technologies plant. The plan includes two three-story buildings, ground-floor retail space and a separate self-storage facility.
Previous proposals for the site — one with up to 250 units and another with 144 — faced zoning and density concerns. Board members appeared more receptive to the smaller plan, though it will still need zoning variances and site plan approval.
