The smell of barbecue will signal spring in Lansing as Ithaca Rotary fires up one of the season’s first chicken dinners, according to The Tompkins Weekly.
The fundraiser runs March 28 from 11 a.m. until sold out at the Bob Baker pavilion on Route 34B. Meals include a half chicken, potatoes, baked beans and a cookie for $12, with chicken-only dinners for $10.
Proceeds will support Rotary community grants for Tompkins County nonprofits. Last year the program awarded about $15,000 to 11 organizations.
