Deputies say a Wolcott man entered a protected person’s home in Ontario County, violating a court order and leading to his arrest.
Francis G. Ryan, 33, was arrested after deputies responded to a complaint on Merrick Avenue in the Town of Manchester.
Ontario County deputies said the investigation began after a report of a violation of an order of protection.
Authorities determined Ryan entered the residence of the protected party before leaving the scene.
Deputies said the suspect fled before officers arrived but was arrested a short time later.
Ryan was charged with burglary in the second degree and criminal contempt in the second degree.
Officials transported him to Ontario County for CAP arraignment. He was later processed and released on his own recognizance.
A new order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim.
