A Dundee man turned himself in Tuesday on a warrant tied to a Yates County sex crime investigation.
Mathew Kennedy-Brewer, 20, surrendered at the Yates County Public Safety Building in Penn Yan around 9:05 a.m., according to the Yates County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities charged Kennedy-Brewer with three counts of criminal sex act in the second degree, each a class D felony.
Officials said the warrant followed a joint investigation by the Village of Penn Yan Police Department and the Yates County Sheriff’s Office into alleged offenses that occurred in the villages of Penn Yan and Dundee in 2025.
After turning himself in, Kennedy-Brewer was taken to the Yates County Jail.
He will remain there until the next available session of County Court.
