Construction has started on a new senior housing community in Dryden aimed at middle-income residents who want to age in place, according to The Ithaca Voice.
The Villas at Maple Ridge began construction in February and will feature 12 rental units for people age 55 and older. Each two-bedroom unit will include an attached garage, with lawn care, snow removal and maintenance handled by property management.
Developers Eric Clark and Kayla Lane-Clark say rents will be about $2,795 a month, targeting seniors who want a community setting without high-end prices. The first homes could be ready for residents before next winter.
