A vehicle fire spread to a nearby home Saturday night on Marsh Road in the Town of Lodi, causing heavy damage to both.
Emergency crews responded around 9:19 p.m. March 7 to 9808 Marsh Road after reports of a vehicle fire extending into a residential structure, according to the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office.
Firefighters brought the fire under control, but both the vehicle and the structure sustained significant damage. Investigators believe the fire started in the vehicle’s engine compartment while it was parked in the driveway.
No injuries were reported.
Fire departments from Lodi, Ovid, Interlaken, Romulus, and Hector responded to the scene, along with the Seneca County Fire Coordinator’s Office, the Seneca County Fire Investigation Team, New York State Police, and Trumansburg Ambulance.
