Historic Ithaca Times building hits market

A downtown building long associated with the Ithaca Times is now up for sale, according to The Ithaca Voice.

Owner Jim Bilinski listed the three-story property at 109 N. Cayuga St. for $1.885 million after decades of running the alt-weekly. Bilinski said he’s ready to slow down after more than 50 years in the newspaper business.

The roughly 9,000-square-foot building dates to about 1835 and now houses the Ithaca Times on the ground floor with eight apartments above. Because it sits in the Ithaca Downtown Historic District, major exterior changes would require review by the city’s landmarks commission.
