Rohrbach Brewing Company is transitioning to new ownership led by two longtime Western New York business leaders.
Joel Will and his brother, Nathan Will, will lead the Rochester-based craft brewery as part of a new ownership group.
Joel Will will serve as president and chief operating officer. He has worked at Rohrbach for nearly two decades and most recently oversaw day-to-day operations across the business.
Nathan Will will take on the role of chief executive officer. He brings more than 30 years of executive leadership experience in international energy, finance and real estate.
Rohrbach Brewing Company was founded in 1991 by John Urlaub and Patty Yahn-Urlaub. The brewery operates two Rochester locations: the Rohrbach Brewpub, which opened in 1995, and a production brewery and Beer Hall in the city’s Market District that opened in 2008.
The company employs more than 85 people and distributes its beer throughout the region through wholesale and retail partnerships.
As part of the transition, the new leadership team said the brewery will continue operating both locations and plans to build on the foundation established by its founders.
The company also announced plans to add Young Lion Brewing Company to its portfolio as part of the transition.
