An Auburn native with deep ties to the Trump administration is entering the race for Central New York’s congressional seat, according to The Citizen.
Kailee Buller, who currently serves as chief of staff to U.S. Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins, has secured endorsements from Republican chairs in Cayuga, Cortland, Madison, Oneida and Onondaga counties. She plans to seek the GOP nomination to challenge first-term Democratic U.S. Rep. John Mannion.
Buller previously held several roles in the Agriculture Department during both Trump administrations and helped negotiate the 2018 farm bill. Democrats currently hold an advantage in the 22nd District, which Mannion won by 10 points in 2024.
