The Mega Millions jackpot climbed to an estimated $473 million after Tuesday night’s drawing, according to syracuse.com.
The winning numbers for the March 3 drawing were 7, 21, 53, 54 and 62, with Mega Ball 16. The cash option for the jackpot is about $221.8 million.
Mega Millions drawings take place every Tuesday and Friday in 45 states, Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Players win the jackpot by matching all five numbers plus the Mega Ball, with odds of about 1 in 302 million.
