Wayne County Fair seeks youth royalty

Teens who love the fairgrounds spotlight can now compete for a crown, according to the Times of Wayne County.

The Wayne County Fair Pageant Committee is recruiting contestants ages 12 to 18 for the 2026 Royalty Pageant. Winners will serve as ambassadors at the fair and community events throughout the year.

Organizers will hold the pageant May 16 at Palmyra Town Hall. Youth ages 12 to 14 will compete for the Junior Royalty Court, while those 15 to 18 will vie for Senior Royalty titles. The contest carries no entry fee, and applications are due April 24. Royalty members will represent the fair during its 169th run, scheduled for Aug. 10 to 16.
