A pedestrian struck by a pickup truck on Elmira Road earlier this month has been released from the hospital and is recovering, police said.
The crash happened around 6:19 p.m. Feb. 10 in the 300 block of Elmira Road, also known as Route 13, according to the Ithaca Police Department.
Police said the pedestrian was attempting to cross Route 13 when a southbound Chevrolet Silverado struck them in the roadway.
Emergency crews took the pedestrian to a local trauma center in critical condition, where they were treated for their injuries. Authorities said the person has since been released and is recovering.
A large section of the 300 block of Elmira Road was shut down during the initial investigation.
The investigation remains ongoing with assistance from the New York State Police. No further information has been released.
